Access Statement for Meadowbrook Farm Cottages

 

Introduction

 

There are 3 self catering holiday cottages, each with private gardens and ample parking. Comfortably furnished to a 4 star tourist board rating. Pre-arrival

 

  • Bookings and enquiries can be made via email or phone as above.

  • The nearest bus stop is 2 miles away with buses to Thame town Centre, Aylesbury and Oxford City as well as surrounding villages.

  • The nearest train station is 4.5 miles, Haddenham & Thame Parkway. There are also taxis available at station.

 

Arrival & Car Parking

 

  • There is parking for each cottage-directly outside of each cottage.

  • Drive into gravelled courtyard, paved pathway leading to front door, no steps.

  • The Cottages are clearly signed by the front doors and all have a security light outside.

  • Either check in at 'Office' or if we're not around then cottage will be open for you to let yourself in and we will come and greet you when we are available.

  • Dogs are welcome.

  • Access available to rear of each property,

  • Additional keys available.

 

Public Areas

 

Cottages

  • All cottages apart from The Old Stable are on one level.

  • There are stairs in The Old Stable to access bedrooms upstairs.

  • Expect low beams upstairs in The Old Stable. 

  • Standard wheelchair access in all cottages.

  • Hardwood flooring in all cottages, with The Old Stable having carpet upstairs.

  • Movable wooden tables and seating for each cottage. Chairs have no arms.

  • Spotlight lighting

  • All crockery provided- lightweight cutlery

  • Byre Cottage is suitable for Wheelchair access- all doors disabled access width.

  • Fire alarms fitted and inspected regularly.

Bathrooms

  • Rails on bath

  • Tiled floor

  • Byre Cottage has wide shower and ramp attachment if needed.

Kitchens

 

  • Neff electric hob and double oven with fan.

  • Fridge/freezer

  • All kitchen utensils

  • Wooden floor

  • Spotlights and under lighting

  • Thermostatically controlled water

  • Microwave

  • Kettle and toaster

 

Gardens & Grounds

 

  • Patio footpath leading to front door, no steps.

  • Lawns to front and rear.

  • Fence surrounding back gardens-secure for children and dogs.

  • Gate at rear of gardens.

 

 

Laundry Room

 

  • There is a step leading into the laundry room.

  • Washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher available free of charge. Own washing powders required.

  • Additional WC and shower available in laundry room.

Shop

  • No shop on site but 15minute walk into Thame to nearest shop or 5minute drive.

 

Leisure Facilities

 

  • Thame Leisure Centre 2 miles from Cottages

 

Outdoor Facilities

 

  • Walking on farm-walk to fish pond with ducks and wildlife.

  • Walk to Thame and Phoenix trail which goes to Princes Risborough.
